Born and bred in Singapore, I spent an exciting six months in the United Kingdom for my University Exchange Programme and then graduated with a local accountancy degree but decided that the stiff corporate world was not for me! I couldn't get enough of seeing more of the world, so I decided to move to Tokyo, Japan to teach English immediately after graduation. After ten enjoyable years as an ESL instructor in Japan and Korea, I am now interested in doing proofreading work, specialising in translation proofreading, as I am also fluent in Mandarin (close to native) and Korean (TOPIK Level 6), and to a lesser extent, Japanese. I am familiar with both British English (used in Singapore) and American English (used in Japan and Korea, as well as the PA course).
