Hi, I'm Sydney Taylor. I'm a born-and-raised Californian who moved to the East Coast for college and never left.

Reading has always been my favorite hobby—I was the kid who hid under the covers with a flashlight after my parents tucked me into bed. That hobby developed into a passion for editing when I became copy editor of my high school newspaper.

I peer-edited essays and articles throughout college as a journalism student and editorial assistant of La Pietra Dialogues (an NYU organization in Florence, Italy).

After graduating college, I began exploring the worlds of search marketing and SEO at a media agency in New York. While I liked my job, I always daydreamed about doing something more in line with reading and editing. I applied for a few freelance editing jobs to make extra money and fell in love with the work. About a year later, I ultimately decided to start my own proofreading company.

I'm most passionate about editing manuscripts, but I also have experience with business content, blog posts and articles.

I am continually honing my skills by taking online editing courses and referencing resources like A Pocket Style Manual and The Chicago Manual of Style.

I love editing and catching typos that may have been overlooked, and I hope you consider me for your next project.
