Certified Proofreader Overview

I have many skills, but since this board is about proofreading, I'll limit this overview to that skill. I have always been the kind of person who notices typos before anything else on a page. I was a voracious reader as a child. A byproduct of that activity was recognizing patterns of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I was so good at it, that one of my responsibilities at a global biopharmaceuticals company was proofreading research papers published in New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Medical Association, quality award submissions, etc., before the days of the Internet. The Proofreading Anywhere course and certification provide me with the tools to do a job that comes naturally to me with an even higher level of competence. I am also an accomplished beauty photo editor, so if you need a professional image to use on LinkedIn or social media, I can help with that, too.
