Hi! My name is Karana and I love to read.

My favorite books to read are historical fiction mysteries, deep sea horror with creatures (especially sharks), and Jane Austen fan fiction.  I have also been a beta reader.  I can always spot errors that the editor has let go through, which is very annoying to me as a reader.  I am mentally correcting these errors as I read.  I can go through a couple of books a week, so my turn around time is fairly quick.

Also, I worked in the medical field for over 25 years.  I had to proofread and edit while typing quickly what the provider was verbally saying.  It was my job to catch any errors before they hit the medical record.  This required being detail-oriented.  I am familiar with anatomy and terminology, so if you need someone for a medical-related book or document, I have a lot of experience.

I am a bead and fiber artist which requires creativity and attention to detail.  I managed to teach myself this.  With good instructions, I can learn anything.
