My love of the written word came early in life as I lay huddled in bed trying to finish a book way past my bedtime, or sat at my old worn desk composing another poem or story. Yes, I was so nerdy that I anxiously waited for research projects to come during English class--both high school and college, at which I excelled.  My family often referred to me as "The English Teacher" long before I grew up and actually began to teach.

During my last couple of years teaching, I spent some time beta reading and editing/proofreading a friend's fantasy novels.  I really enjoyed it! So when I retired, I chose to study to become a proofreader. I am a graduate of Proofread Anywhere General Proofreading and have received a certificate of Master Proofreader.

Now, I begin my professional proofreading business with excitement, enthusiasm, and a keen eye for grammar and punctuation.
