Title: Proofreader

Certified Proofreader Overview

You've worked hard churning out the perfect combination of words and phrases. You've argued your point or written a fictional masterpiece or informed your audience with your extensive research and command of niche subject matter. Time and effort have gone into this! You want your delivery to be clear, polished, and intelligent. Winning the trust of your audience is your goal. Writing is an art that should be preserved, and only you write in your unique voice, for your unique purpose. Having a proofreader is more than just checking for spelling errors or erroneous commas. A valuable proofreader is technically adept but should bring so much more to the project than merely understanding the mechanics of language. It is my mission to understand your purpose, your voice, your audience, and, most of all, to enable you to develop your distinct style.

I have spent over a decade as an accomplished analyst, project manager, and engineer. I obtained a B.A. in history and Spanish as well as a B.S. in civil engineering, and early in my career, it became evident that I had a variety of interests. As I progressed through diverse project cycles, one thing always remained the same: my love for the written word. I have excelled at a career driven by writing and editing via reporting, auditing, SOP production, permitting, and overall client deliverable oversight.

In pursuing a Master Proofreader certification at Proofread Anywhere, I graduated within the top 1% of the course, earning a perfect score on the exit exam. Beyond technical writing, I am interested in historical nonfiction, current events, wellness, nutrition, travel, and yoga. My priority as your proofreader is to exhibit a highly developed skillset, a tenacious approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to detail-driven product delivery.
