Certified Proofreader Overview

I am an avid reader and writer. My working career has included being a high school history teacher, a college/university professor, and a state education official responsible for reporting to a state board of education on standards compliance. All these positions required intense reading and writing with particular concern for properly expressed communication in American English. In two additional career experiences, banking and real estate, I reviewed and edited financial documents, sales contract forms and marketing materials. All this led to my decision to become a certified proofreader.
